Lucky J's Chicken & Waffles

So we’ve recently purchases a second vehicle ( a 22 foot truck) and are currently outfitting it for service. Look for us Downtown in the Fall, or better yet, book our truck for your private event!

We’ve recently doubled our number of picnic tables. Come enjoy the shade under our pecan tree and kick back with an ice cold sweet tea…or feel free to BYOB if you are in the mood for something stronger.

We will begin renovation of the facility at 5701 Burnet Road in the next few weeks. We’ll keep you posted as construction begins

Starting May 1st, Lucky J’s will be taking over the building next to our trailer. Stage one will include indoor seating, public restrooms and a garden seating section out back. In the months to come we will be putting a commercial kitchen on the property and expanding our menu. Also look for more trailers popping up at our location soon as we launch several other concepts!

We’ve partnered with The Gospel According to Austin, a non-profit organization committed to promoting local Gospel Musicians, to provide live music every Sunday starting May 10th. I’ll post the details as we get closer.

The Picnic Tables have been ordered and Federico is lined up to do his thing. Hopefully our outdoor dining area will be up and running in the next week.

We’ll be starting our new hours this coming week:

Monday Closed
Tuesday-Thursday 11-8
Friday-Saturday 11-9
Sunday Brunch 9-4

Hopefully this won’t cause too much confusion. Speaking of confusion, our phone number in the trailer is 512-296-9914. Sorry for the misprint! The number listed on the site is my cell phone, which I am happy to answer as well. Feel free to call ahead for large orders.

So here’s the deal folks: Saturday May 9th Lucky J’s will be hosting our Grand Opening Celebration! Join us for food, music and entertainment from 2pm-6pm. Sunday May 10th we’ll be launching our inaugural Gospel Bird Brunch. From 9am-4pm Lucky J’s will be serving up a special expanded brunch menu…think waffle breakfast tacos, chicken and waffle croque monsieur, etc.
